Edward Andria was born , at York Run, a son of Guisippi Andria and Josephine Russo Andria.

Mr. Andria served with the U.S. Army during World War II.
He was a life long resident of the Albert Gallatin Area School District and had served as a school board member for 35 years. He served in many capacities while on the school board, including president, vice president, treasurer, secretary and chaired and worked on many committees such as the Fayette County Career and Technical Institute board, Georges Creek Municipal Authority, and the Fayette County Planning Commission.
He was also member of St. Therese Roman Catholic Church in Uniontown.
Mr. Andria had been a member of the Intermediate Unit Board of Directors for over 21 years and held offices of president, vice president, and treasurer.
Mr. Charles Mahoney, Executive Director of Intermediate Unit 1, said, “He was just a wonderful man. Never missed a meeting. Always had the children at the forefront of his decisions. Very well prepared and engaged in conversation. He will be sorely missed. Just a very, very caring and giving person. We were blessed to have him.”
Mr. Andria played a big part in education. He was a wonderful man. Family and children were a huge part in his life. He will be greatly missed.
