Intermediate Unit 1 is accepting applications for anticipated full-time positions throughout the 2016-17 school year. A Paraprofessional I must be Highly Qualified as required by federal and state statutes. To be Highly Qualified, this person must hold an Associate’s Degree or have successfully completed 48 college credits or passed the IU1 HQ local assessment. This paraprofessional assists a certified teacher in the education of students including instructional assistance; classroom management; record keeping; assessments; progress monitoring; technology usage and classroom safety, security and organization.
