Intermediate Unit 1 is accepting applications for long-term substitute opportunities that are anticipated from January 2017 through the remainder of the 2016-17 school year. The Speech and Language Clinician is responsible to use his/her professional knowledge, evaluation and intervention to minimize or eliminate speech and language deficits that interfere with an individual student’s ability to derive benefit from his/her educational program. This teacher provides services to students with speech, voice or language disorders. This person is qualified to determine the educational effects of speech and language disorders on educational performance and to plan and manage assessment and intervention of student instruction. This teacher is responsible for meeting the duties of teaching as outlined in CSPG 63, laws, Board Policy, and the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
