POSITION AVAILABLE: The Department of Education seeks applicants for a full-time, tenure track faculty member to teach courses with an emphasis upon teacher preparation in the areas of educational technology, secondary math and science. The position begins August 2018. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled and will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
SALARY/RANK: Salary and rank commensurate with qualifications and experience.
QUALIFICATIONS: Completed doctorate preferred or working toward a doctorate in educational technology or a related field. Candidate must have experience with educational technology integration and STEM education, while demonstrating a passion for the mission of the department. A minimum of five years teaching experience in K-12 technology education, secondary math or science with active public school teaching certification(s) in 7-12 math or science and Instructional Technology Specialist certification is preferred. Supervision of student teachers is expected.

RESPONSIBILITIES: The successful candidate will teach twelve credit hours per semester in the area of educational technology integration, secondary math and science, and other teacher preparation courses as background and curricular needs dictate. In addition, the individual will be expected to perform normal teaching duties at the college level including advising at the undergraduate level; mentoring and supervising student teachers and field experiences; developing, reviewing and revising curriculum; participating in service to the University, the discipline and the local educational community.
