An Autistic Support Teacher is responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing an instructional program for students identified with autism or autism spectrum disorders, to enable them to achieve their maximum potential. This professional is responsible for meeting the duties of teaching as outlined in Certification Staffing Policies and Guidelines (CSPG) No. 61, laws, Board Policy, and Collective Bargaining Agreement.
