This is a substitute opportunity. An English as a second language (ESL) instructor is responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing an instructional program for English language learners to develop their English language skills and thrive alongside their English-dominant peers. The ESL instructor focuses instruction on reading, writing, speaking, and listening as outlined in the Pennsylvania Academic Standards and English Language Proficiency Standards. This professional is responsible for meeting the duties of teaching as outlined in Certification and Staffing Policy Guidelines (CSPG) 41, 42, and 68; laws; board policy; and collective bargaining agreement.
