Intermediate Unit 1 is accepting applications for anticipated full-time positions and long-term substitute positions for the 2016-2017 school year.
Outpatient Clinic is responsible for providing direct therapeutic services to students and their families in the region. This assignment includes providing evidence-based individual and family therapy to students referred to the IU1’s outpatient clinic, as well as performing intakes for all referred consumers, creating and monitoring therapeutic treatment plans, participating in treatment team meetings with psychiatrist, referring to other relevant providers, and completing documentation for insurance billing. Therapeutic Emotional classroom(s) and Comprehensive Therapeutic Emotional Support: is responsible for identifying and addressing social, emotional, learning, cultural, environmental and economic barriers that impede the educational process. S/he serves as a liaison between the home, school and community. This assignment includes providing group and individual counseling to the children attending IU1 operated classes and support to the staff assigned to those classes. This professional uses knowledge and understanding of the reciprocal influences of home, school, and community to intervene for student success via such practices as assessment, crisis intervention, home visits, conflict resolution, consultation, program development, dropout prevention, and truancy.
Regional: is responsible for identifying and addressing social, emotional, learning, cultural, environmental and economic barriers that impede the educational process. S/he serves as a liaison between the home, school and community. This assignment includes providing group and individual counseling (as schedule permits) to the children attending IU1 or school district operated classes and support to the staff assigned to those classes. This professional uses knowledge and understanding of the reciprocal influences of home, school, and community to intervene for student success via such practices as assessment, crisis intervention, home visits, conflict resolution, consultation, program development, dropout prevention, and truancy.
This professional is responsible for meeting the duties of Social Worker as outlined in The National Association of Social Workers Code of Ethics, CSPG 77 (if Home and School Visitor certified),
Board Policy and Collective Bargaining Agreement.
